Service Area Map

You have two ways to display your maps.

Option 1: Interactive ArcGIS Map

Our custom ArcGIS integration module displays live maps directly on your website using your Map ID. Perfect for showing service boundaries, infrastructure projects, pipe replacement schedules, or water quality zones. Users can zoom, pan, and interact with map layers. Requires your District have an ArcGIS subscription.

Option 2: Static Map Image

Upload a PDF or image of your service area map with descriptive alt text. Simpler to maintain and loads faster, though not interactive. We recommend including your contact information so users can get confirmation whether or not they’re on your district.

This is the service area map with the northern boundary at Fernalld Dr, the western boundary at Middle Park Ct, the southern boundary at Interstate 70, and the eastern boundary at Lakeview Ct.

How This Page Meets WCAG 2.2/2.1 AA

  • Descriptive Alternative Text (WCAG 1.1.1 Non-text Content): the service area map includes detailed alt text describing boundaries and key features, ensuring screen reader users understand the coverage area without seeing the visual map.
  • Text Alternative for Complex Images (WCAG 1.1.1 Non-text Content): for maps with detailed information, we recommend including a text description or contact information below the image so residents can confirm service availability by phone, email, or address lookup.
  • Keyboard-Accessible Interactive Maps (WCAG 2.1.1 Keyboard): when using ArcGIS integration, all map controls (zoom, pan, layer toggles) are fully keyboard accessible – no mouse required.
  • Color Contrast in Maps (WCAG 1.4.3 Contrast Minimum): service area boundaries and labels use high-contrast colors that remain visible for users with low vision or color blindness.
